Automating Business Processes

Complete order processing with automated functions - from sales and technical preparation to production and assembly - are supported at proALPHA. As part of this active workflow, also called Workflow Automation, each information object is automatically processed according to the business processes assigned to it. This processing can be initiated or interrupted by events. 

The Highlights:

Simply sending internal mails is often regarded as workflow. The active and fully integrated WorkflowAutomation of proALPHA, however, goes much further. The use of rules transforms the workflow into a powerful tool for making rigid, pre-defined processes variable. When developing the individual process steps, the workflow proceeds depending on the respective results. In this way, for example, a quote can be sent to various places for release depending on the value.

The object-oriented approach allows easy modification and expansion of proALPHA WorkflowAutomation to meet specific operating requirements.

The responsible employee receives the tasks relevant to him/her – such as open quotes, ToDo lists, planned variances or such. The processing of business transactions is carried out directly on his/her ToDo list. These functions deliver more than many systems nowadays.

WorkflowAutomation is a basic functional component and gives the complete solution the corresponding width in the application when employing cross-site and cross-company communication media (EDI, Internet, Web Shop and CRM Offline).
